Getting Ready
It’s a little over two months before I will be leaving for Africa!! I am going to be living there for about a year and I am totally stoked! I can’t wait to see what the Lord has in store for me there. I have been preparing for this trip for quite some time and am becoming a tad antsy to leave. I must say that it will be a bittersweet departure. . .

Looks like I am the first to comment!! I’ll miss ya bring around here. It is sad seeing all your stuff being put away! I know though that you will have a great time doing the Lord’s work in Zambia! I will be praying for you!
This is all so very exciting!! It is wonderful to see God answering prayers, especially when they benefit your close friends! Rachel- I truly believe you will be blessed through this journey almost as much as those children will be blessed to have you there!! I’ll be praying for you daily with Bekah! (And thank God for blogs so we can keep up with your work! :))
Looks like you are just about set to go. Congratulations! I know you’re excited to get it all started and are wondering how you can possibly wait out the two months before you leave. Try to really take this time to cherish your friends and family, and mentally prepare yourself for service that will be such a physical and emotional challenge…and no doubt be rewardng beyond measure. I’m proud of you.
